Relax. Revive. Reset.

Golden rays seeping through your windows at the hour of birds singing, diving into the ocean for a cool off at the hour you routinely have been curled up by the fire & perhaps an unexplainable shift in emotions as you navigate anticipation.
Welcome to Spring.

We here at The Studio Upstairs completely recognise that this transition doesn’t always flow with ease and can sometimes be quite the adjustment (don’t worry I am also still in the process of getting used to shaving my legs more than only when I have to). This shift doesn’t have to be an overwhelming disruption to our sleepy winter schedule but more so a reflection of how refreshing it will be to have those extra hours in the day to fit in more love, light & memories. Because after all, your happiness should & will take precedence in this transition.

Let’s delve into three R’s that you can consider adopting for the upcoming recuperation process.

Relax.

It comes without saying that in order to take care of your body and mind, relaxation surely is a great way to start. Relaxing allows us to heal and release ourselves from a time that may have felt like a stress-dominated environment. Don’t get me wrong, life isn’t always stress-free and understanding the feeling of pressure or stress helps us to appreciate the moments of relief. Emulating balance in your everyday life is usually a great place to start to keep the levels of your life in check. Whilst this all sounds amazing, I’m sure you’re wondering what practical steps you can take to get the ball rolling...

Our good friends at Skin Forum located a swift 10min drive from us in Burleigh Waters offer a range of treatments and packages which all cater to the goal of making you feel relaxed. Sounds like a dreamy way to kick off your spring season, right?

To accompany your relaxation rejuvenation, a little bit of retail therapy never goes astray. Located around the corner from us amongst the hustle and bustle of James Street, Emte Boutique provides a welcoming little haven filled with the dress you’ll be needing for the Spring, perhaps a fine jewellery piece to grow or start your collection or maybe even just a small token to say thank you to yourself for absolutely no reason other than, you deserve it.

Revive.

A very anticipated summer debut wouldn’t be a debut without a transformation to accompany your newfound relaxed state of being. It’s no secret that perhaps we are all subconsciously (or maybe totally consciously) missing the tan that faded along with the hair regrowth we might have forgotten to address throughout the winter (it’s okay, we can help you with that one). With us here at The Studio Upstairs our stylists are experts in helping you get to the hair goals of your dreams and would love to make that dream a reality. To achieve that goal in a realistic time frame we would recommend booking as soon as your schedule allows to ensure we can fulfil your expectations to the best of our abilities. Most importantly so you can walk out onto the streets of Burleigh with that gorgeous glow a fresh colour & cut provides.

Reset.

Even in the busiest of seasons, nature is a constant reminder that there truly is beauty in simplicity. Taking a moment to breathe and recharge through nature is a healing revival skill or state of being to implement not only during this time of the year but additionally day to day.

Just to let you in on a little secret if you haven’t been to us before, The Studio Upstairs is conveniently located across the road from the famously known and loved Burleigh Heads beach right here in the heart of the Gold Coast. Take a stroll along the esplanade or wander through the headland to take a moment to reset and enter a spring frame of mind. Especially with the sun deciding to make our days feel longer soon, going outside in the fresh air is a pure way to turn the bed sheets over, get out on the right side of the bed and make each and every day, a day to remember.
