22. WE SELL PRINTS X The Studio Upstairs

We’ve raved about them before and we will rave about them again… Sarah and Jarrad Miller at The Damn Good Store in Burleigh Heads are incredible. They’re for the people, they’re innovative and they run a small business from the heart of our town that supports other local businesses. Sarah and Jarrad are absolutely smashing the ‘support local’ game, so much so that they’re displaying photographers and artists from the area in their cozy gallery-esque space named aptly - ‘We Sell Prints’. Both graphic designers pre-covid, The Millers came up with the ingenious concept of having the We Sell Prints space in Burleigh where they not only showcase these prints, but print them, frame them, and send them to their new homes. Jarrad and our studio founder Jess agreed that The Damn Good Store X The Studio Upstairs collaboration was long overdue. Over the coming months, you’ll get the opportunity to see some of the beautiful prints in The Studio Upstairs, showcasing local talent & giving you the opportunity to have these in your own home using a QR code that will take you direct to the print at We Sell Prints, located at The Damn Good Store.

We Sell Prints are ‘We are a small passionate team in Burleigh Heads Queensland that share our love for art with our clients. Not only do we offer fine art printing as a service, we also own and operate a local print and gift shop in Burleigh Heads supporting Aussie Artists and local creatives. It has become exponentially more challenging for artists to cut through the digital noise in the fast-growing world of communication platforms, we help local emerging and established artists gain exposure and earn an income through print sales with pride placement in our store and online.’

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

FREYEE

Troy Freyee has perfected the curation of fine art photography - his shots are distinctive, daring, provocative and empowering, sometimes grungy - always classy. Freyee (pronounced Fray-YAY) meticulously produces these collections that ooze character and narrative, allowing you to anticipate  the who’s, why’s, where’s and how’s of the shot. Having Freyee prints in the studio available for purchase will open the doors to a different kind of art in your home and as Troy says - ‘Be Bold, Be Daring and Be Cool’. 

TEGAN & NED

Tegan and Ned, have been blessing us with exquisite prints for years now. The ultimate power duo have travelled the world over the past 6 years, creating some of the most breathtaking, inspiring shots that at the minute, we can only dream of experiencing. Their zest for life beams from their creations, a dream coat of technicolour, even in black and white.  It could be in the coast of Sicily or the bustle of the Big Apple - Tegan and Ned always find a way to encapsulate a feeling in their creations, either giving us instant goosebumps - or instant travel envy! (or both most of the time).
